EASA Part-147 Courses
The Hellenic Aerospace Training Organisation offers basic Training Courses (Full or Partial) to meet the requirements of EASA Part-66 AML and short modular tutorial courses for examination preparation.
The offered EASA Part-147 Courses are as follows:
Approved "Category A" Basic Courses
The courses have a total duration of 134 Training days, including 87 days of Practical Training. A further EASA Part-66 requirement of 1 year of civil aircraft Maintenance experience on the appropriate sub-category is required for the license issuance and can be conducted either within HAI or any other Part 145 certified Maintenance Organisation. HAI is approved to provide training in all currently available sub-categories:
- A1 Line Maintenance Certifying Mechanic - Aeroplanes Turbine
- A2 Line Maintenance Certifying Mechanic - Aeroplanes Piston
- A3 Line Maintenance Certifying Mechanic - Helicopters Turbine
- A4 Line Maintenance Certifying Mechanic - Helicopters Piston
Approved "Category B" Basic Courses
The courses have a total duration of 400 Training days, including 160 days of Practical Training. A further EASA Part-66 requirement of 2 years of civil aircraft Maintenance experience on the appropriate sub-category is required for the license issuance and can be conducted either within HAI or any other Part 145 certified Maintenance Organisation. HAI is approved to provide training in all currently available sub-categories:
- B1.1 Line Maintenance Certifying Technician/Base Maintenance Technician - Aeroplanes Turbine
- B1.2 Line Maintenance Certifying Technician/Base Maintenance Technician - Aeroplanes Piston
- B1.3 Line Maintenance Certifying Technician/Base Maintenance Technician - Helicopters Turbine
- B1.4 Line Maintenance Certifying Technician/Base Maintenance Technician - Helicopters Piston
- B2 Line Maintenance Certifying Technician/Base Maintenance Technician - Avionic
Tutorial (Short) Courses & Approved Examinations
The HAI Training Directorate is approved to offer training as well as examinations to meet the requirements of the EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License. Approved examinations can be offered in all current EASA Part 66 modules, and are normally held on the third week of each second month. Additionally, HAI can offer tutorial (short) courses and approved examinations for:
- Removal of limitations of existing licenses issued by the National Competent Authority (HCAA for Greece) to the full EASA Part-66 standard,
- Extension of an EASA Part-66 license to add another category/sub-category, and
- Self-Study Candidates (Maintenance Experience required is more than that of the Approved Courses graduates. See EASA Part-66 for experience requirements).
